Do you want to give your face a smoother, more vibrant and clean look? Are you short of time and money to go to the spa for treatment and beauty care? There is no need to sulk as there are countless methods to make your face glow without parting with your hard earned money. Face Cleansers and Face Toners are the best remedy.

As your face need a more thorough cleaning than it gets with just soap, use face cleansers because it cleans the skin better. But just beware of abrasive scrubs that might cause too much dryness and tiny injuries on the face. Some of the face cleansers normally used are facial cloth, woven mesh sponge, cleansing pouch and face brush. Earlier fibers were used to clean the face. But as the fibers were stiff and harsh, they are not normally used now-a-days, but are replaced by fibers that softens when soaked in water.

Facial Cloth is the most popular tool used as face cleanser. After you get them wet, they lather, as soap and moisturizer are embedded in these facial cloths. It is not necessary that all facial cloth have a lathery soap but work more like a moist towel.

Cleansing Pouch is another type of face cleanser which is variation of facial cloth. These pouches have holes of various diameters and are made of two open weave lothes. In between the clothes, cleanser is fixed and how much of the cleanser gets to the skin depends upon the size of the holes. This is not as affective as the facial clothes as it does not exfoliate as much as a non-woven cleansing cloth.  After cleansing your face, apply face toner regularly to close pores and to get a glowy and shiny look.

Face toner are lotion or wash to cleanse the skin and thus shrink the appearances of the pores. They are applied to the skin in different ways-on damp cotton wool, spraying onto the face using a vaporizer and by applying a tonic gauze facial mask. There are different types of toners-Skin Bracers or Fresheners- The mildest form of face toner is the skin bracers.

They contain almost no alcohol but water and glycerin. For example, Rose water helps to keep the moisture in the upper layer of the skin by preventing it from evaporating. As these face toners are the gentlest to the skin, they are most suitable for use on dry, sensitive, normal and dehydrated skin.

Skin Tonics- As these face toner contain a small quantity of alcohol, they are slightly stronger to fresheners. Other ingredients include water and humectants. These toners are suitable for use on normal, combination as well as oily skin and orange flower water is an example of a skin tonic.

Astringents- These toners contain a high proportion of alcohol and they are the strongest. Other ingredients include antiseptic, water and humectants.

Use these face cleansers and toners to look younger and more lively!
